Brody’s color is UNKNOWN but likely ISABELLA sable (pending DNA color testing), the newest RARE Frenchie color. So I am guessing the price to be ABOUT $3500 (he could be a $5000+ pup, but with this year’s price drop it’s a toss up) – if he does turn out to be a blue sable he will be $3000. I have never produced a pup this color and I’m stumped. He should be a blue sable, but the masking is too light. Brody also has a PINKish nose, not a BLUE nose like most blue masked pups. I guess we will have to see as the color develops . . . he IS a full Unicorn it seems!
Brody was our first pup born with TWO backwards legs, but he came into this world ready to take it on! Despite his handicap, he was voracious at eating, and quickly out-paced his siblings in weight gain! Regular stretches and strength training has corrected his legs already, and you’d never even know he was born fully handicap!
Brody is more vocal than the other pups, and will likely be a complainer, lol. He seems to lean more frenchton, with a leaner, longer build and slightly longer nose.
5 Week Old update: Brody shows no signs of being born with crooked legs, and his eyes have straightened out as well from 2 weeks ago (he was a bit bull-eyed). he is the LEAST whiney of the boys, and quite quiet overall. He’s low-key and enjoys wandering around playing, wrestling with his siblings or strolling over for some quick snuggles before jumping back off to explore. He LIKELY will have GREEN EYES as they display “blue” but do not show the stereo-typical red flash.
8 Week Old Update: His eyes are STILL blue, but I STILL think they will turn green by the time he is 12 weeks old . . . the blue is quite dull compared to normal true blue eyed pups, but still very striking. His body color continues to lighten and I STILL FEEL he is an Isabella Sable . . . I did manage to swab him but I need to send in those results! He looks more colorful in the photos due to lighting – in reality he’s nearly white!
Personality wise, he’s quite different. He just seems to function on a different level than his siblings – for a little while I wondered if he might be blind, but after some testing and observation he was found to be fine, just DIFFERENT in how he approaches life.
He is a DIE HARD grass pee-er. He religiously pees outside but refuses to pee in his litterbox . . . and he always pees outside before coming in the house . . . I’m hoping this means he will potty train extra quickly!
